Technology

When it comes to professional relationships, courtesy and personal connection are vital. But we know the value that world-class technology brings to your dental care. The technology we invest in at our Temple dental office is all meant to enhance your experience by improving your comfort and streamlining your dental care.

We’re always researching new and improved ways to bring you the best and latest that dentistry has to offer. Please check out the technology we currently offer, then give us a call to see how we put it to work for you!

Digital X-Rays

Part of delivering high-quality dental care is ensuring your comfort and safety. Many of our Temple, TX patients are concerned about the amount of radiation to which they're exposed. For this reason, we’ve invested in digital x-rays that reduce your exposure by as much as 80 percent compared to film x-rays.

Digital x-rays produce highly detailed images of the inside of your teeth and below your gum line where many problems start to develop. You may not feel any discomfort yet, but cavities and gum disease can damage your oral health if we don’t detect them early. When we do, we can provide conservative dental treatment long before you develop any pain.

We also use digital x-rays as an educational tool by sharing them with you on your chairside monitor. Our dentists will point out areas of concern to help you understand why you need treatment and how it will benefit your oral health. Seeing is believing, and that’s especially true in dentistry.

Since we store digital x-rays in your patient record, they’re easy to access to monitor ongoing conditions. We can also easily send them to your insurance company or specialists with your permission.

3-D Cone Beam Imaging (CBCT)

With an increased interest in dental implants, more people are hearing about cone beam technology. Cone Beam Computed Tomography or CBCT gives your Temple dentists a 3-D image of your entire mouth, including all your teeth, your jawbone, nerve pathways, and sinuses. This information is invaluable for planning procedures that require a high degree of accuracy such as dental implant placement.

One of the criteria for getting a dental implant is that there is enough dense bone to support it. The success of your implant depends on the quality and quantity of bone that supports it. 3-D cone beam imaging helps us determine if you’re a good candidate for dental implants.

We also used cone beam imaging to plan root canals, wisdom tooth extractions, and to assist in planning orthodontic treatment.

Nitrous Oxide

Need a little help relaxing at your next dental appointment? Ask us about sedation dentistry at our Temple, TX dental office!

Nitrous oxide is a safe and mild gas that you inhale through a small nasal mask. The effects will make you feel relaxed and drowsy. You’ll be fully conscious and aware of the activity around you, but it will seem far away. When we complete your procedure, we’ll stop the flow of nitrous and have you breathe pure oxygen for a few minutes. You’ll leave our office feeling relaxed, refreshed, and proud of your healthy smile.

Since nitrous oxide is so safe and gentle, it’s also great for kids who have trouble sitting still or have multiple dental procedures planned.

TVs in Treatment Rooms

We’re pleased to offer TVs in all our treatment rooms so you can enjoy some distraction during your appointment. Sit back and watch the latest news or catch up with your favorite shows on Netflix while your dental care team works to improve your oral health.

We want you to be comfortable and relaxed, so please let us know what we can do to help!
